Job Description

Saulsbury is hiring Electrical Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians for a large-scale new data center construction project in Abernathy, Texas . Electricians will be responsible for performing commercial electrical construction work while following project specifications, safety procedures, and direction from site supervision.

This is a physically demanding position with 12+ hour workdays , significant walking, and indoor/outdoor work in temperatures that may exceed 90&degree;F. Candidates must be dependable, safety-conscious, and prepared for the demands of a large-scale construction project.

Pay Rates

• 1st Year Apprentice: $22/hour
• 2nd Year Apprentice: $26/hour
• 3rd Year Apprentice: $28/hour
• 4th Year Apprentice: $32/hour
• Unlicensed Journeyman: $38/hour
• Licensed Journeyman: $43/hour
• Per Diem: $115/day, 7 days per week when all scheduled hours are worked

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installation and construction work on a new data center
• Install, assemble, and support electrical systems and components
• Read and follow blueprints, electrical drawings, and project specifications
• Safely operate electrical hand and power tools
• Follow all company and project safety procedures
• Attend daily safety meetings and stretch-and-flex activities
• Work alongside electricians, foremen, supervisors, and other construction trades
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow instructions from project supervision
• Perform physically demanding construction activities for extended periods

Job Requirements

• Electrical construction experience required; commercial, industrial, or data center experience preferred
• OSHA certification required
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Apprentices must be enrolled in or have experience progressing through an electrical apprenticeship
• Journeyman Electricians must have commercial electrical construction experience
• Texas electrical license required for the $43/hour Licensed Journeyman rate
• Qualified experience required for the $38/hour Unlicensed Journeyman rate
• Ability to read blueprints, electrical drawings, and project specifications
• Ability to safely use electrical hand and power tools
• Must be willing and able to work 12+ hour shifts
• Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in temperatures exceeding 90&degree;F
• Ability to walk approximately 5 miles per day
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, lift, and perform physically demanding construction work for extended periods
• Reliable transportation to the jobsite
• Must be dependable and maintain consistent attendance
• Must successfully complete required site orientation, safety training, badging, and project-specific requirements

Work Schedule

• 5:30–6:00 AM: Arrival/clock-in
• 5:30 AM: Foreman’s meeting — supervisors must attend
• 6:00 AM: Crew safety meeting and stretch-and-flex
• 6:15–11:00 AM: Work
• 11:00 AM–12:00 PM: Lunch
• 3:00 PM: Break
• 6:30 PM: Clock out
• 12+ hour workdays

Physical & Environmental Conditions

• Approximately 5 miles of walking per day
• Work indoors and outdoors
• Temperatures may exceed 90&degree;F
• Building air conditioning is not yet in service
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting
• Must be able to work extended shifts in demanding construction conditions

PPE, Tools & Meals

• PPE and hand tools will be issued on site
• Breakfast and lunch are provided free of charge
