Job Title: Project Engineer - Refinery

Job Summary:

As a Project Engineer in a refinery, you will lead and coordinate engineering projects aimed at improving, maintaining, or expanding refinery facilities. Leveraging your engineering expertise and project management skills, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects while adhering to industry standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning:
   • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
   • Develop comprehensive project plans, considering timelines, resource requirements, and budget constraints.
2. Design and Engineering:
   • Provide technical leadership during the design and engineering phases of refinery projects.
   • Review and approve design documents, ensuring compliance with industry standards and refinery specifications.
3. Regulatory Compliance:
   • Ensure that all engineering activities adhere to regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and safety protocols.
   • Liaise with regulatory bodies to secure necessary approvals and permits.
4. Resource Allocation:
   • Coordinate with various refinery departments to allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
   • Optimize resource utilization to meet project objectives and deadlines.
5. Project Coordination:
   • Act as a focal point for communication between different project teams, ensuring collaboration and information flow.
   • Conduct regular project meetings to discuss progress, address challenges, and facilitate solutions.
6. Budget Management:
   • Develop and manage project budgets, monitoring expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
   • Work closely with the finance department to ensure financial goals are met.
7. Quality Assurance:
   • Implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet refinery standards and specifications.
   • Conduct regular inspections and reviews to verify compliance.
8. Risk Management:
   • Identify and assess project risks, developing mitigation strategies to address potential challenges.
   • Continuously monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
9. Documentation:
   • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, technical specifications, and progress reports.
   • Prepare and submit regular status reports to refinery management and stakeholders.
10. Client Communication:
    • Serve as the main point of contact for refinery clients, providing updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.
