Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 12-bed Emergency Department serving a broad range of ED and urgent care presentations, including trauma, pediatrics, sepsis, STEMI, stroke, procedural sedation, and code blue/resuscitations
• Manage and monitor common drips including vasopressors and anti-arrhythmics
• Perform independent cardiac rhythm interpretation using GE Carescape monitoring equipment; no monitor technicians are on unit
• Conduct triage independently as required by the department
• Perform phlebotomy and lab draws, as the majority of draws are completed by RNs
• On rare occasions when Respiratory Therapy is unavailable, set up and manage ventilators beyond basic troubleshooting

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, NRP, PALS, TNCC
• Demonstrated experience with trauma, pediatric emergencies, sepsis, STEMI, stroke, procedural sedation, and resuscitations
• Ability to work a rotating schedule including every-other or every-third weekend depending on shift, as well as rotating holidays
• Must clock in and out at the facility; no remote timekeeping
• Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are considered local and may be subject to an adjusted rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Level 4 Trauma center or similar community emergency department setting
• Familiarity with thrombolytic therapy protocols for STEMI and stroke
• Experience working in a combined ED/urgent care environment with variable patient volumes
• Comfort working with variable ancillary support staffing (techs, medics, respiratory therapy)
